Kanyawegi Dala Resort was founded by Kadogo, who moved from Kenya to Europe at the age of 24. Her deep connection to Kenya brought her back every year—not just to visit family, but also to support Kadowinja Foundation , which she established in 2009.
In 2016, inspired by her love for the country, she began building a small-scale resort in Kanyawegi, a charming village near Lake Victoria. Today, the resort offers a peaceful retreat for travelers and a gateway to exploring Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Beyond being a relaxing holiday destination, Kanyawegi Dala Resort provides opportunities for guests interested in volunteering with the foundation or other local initiatives. Surrounded by vibrant village life, where fishing and small-scale farming are the main livelihoods, visitors can immerse themselves in an authentic cultural experience.

The Village
Kanyawegi Dala Resort is located in a village community where life progresses in a typical Kenyan way.
People here make a living from small scale agriculture, fishing and livestock farming. It is a close-knit village community where it is easy to come into contact with the residents. The area can be explored on foot with a local guide.
