Hostess Kadogo Nyawade
Kadogo migrated from Kenya to Europe when she was 24. She has travelled to Kenya annually not only to visit family, but to also work with the foundation www.kadowinja.org, which was founded in 2009. Due to the annual trips to Kenya, Kadogo has come to know the country very well that in 2016, she started the construction of a small-scale resort in a village called Kanyawegi near Kisumu, at the shores of Lake Victoria.
Besides being a beautiful place for holidays, the resort can be a good starting point for travel through Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The resort also provides an amazing opportunity for those interested in volunteering for its foundation or other local charitable causes.
Life around the resort is village life, with many of the villagers’ livelihood being fishing and small-scale farming, where small-scale trading is done at the local market, especially on market days.
